I enjoy receiving questions and feedback from AromaWeb visitors. Yesterday, I received the following email:
"I am looking for articles or tips/methods to clean glass bottles that have been previously used (storing oils, blends, etc.). Any information, links, tips, directions you can give/point me in would be most appreciated! Thank you so much for your time."
Inspired by this question, I added a new article to AromaWeb entitled . It provides tips and ideas about when and how to reuse essential oil bottles. If you have any other tips or suggestions about reusing essential oil bottles (i.e. amber and cobalt Boston rounds), please let me know.

I have reused 5 ml bottles as scent samplers. I stuff them with about 1/2 of a cotton ball and add a single drop of an essential oil. I have been using them for volunteers to sample individual scents when preparing blends for them to try. I use the feedback from volunteers to write my case reports for my course from American College of Healthcare Sciences. This has saved many drops of oils over using perfume blotters for every oil that needs to be tested.
